Tuition and Fees

Financial Obligations

Financial policies and obligations are contained in the Tuition and Fees Contract signed by each student's parent or guardian. Financial obligations are to remain current. School records, report cards and extracurricular activities will be withheld until financial obligations are satisfied.

Tuition

Under the guidelines offered by the Diocese of Metuchen through the offices of the Vicariates of Education and Administration, the tuition of Sacred Heart School has been set for the 2008-2009 academic year at the following rates:

Parishioner - a family who is registered with Sacred Heart Parish for at least one year and actively participates in the spiritual and sacramental life of the parish and contributes of their time, talent and financial resources. The use of weekly contribution envelopes is a record of your financial support.

School Fees

The following fees are in effect for the 2008-2009 school year:

  • $75.00 - Entrance Fee - non-refundable (for new students only)

  • $25.00 - Registration Fee - per family

  • $250.00 - Book & Materials Fee - per student (due by June 1st)

  • $600.00 - Work Bond - per family (due by August 1st))

Parental Service Obligations

A service assignment is required of every family in addition to the tuition and book/materials fee. The active participation of every school family is essential to the vitality and spirit of Sacred Heart School. We depend on your presence and participation in service activities for the smooth operation of our school programs and for the safety of our children. Parents are expected to work their scheduled times. There will be no allowances for unexcused absences, short of extreme emergency. No payment is issued for service, thus no service is prorated. In emergency situations, the service parent is responsible for contacting the service coordinator prior to the service date, finding a reliable substitute, and/or arranging a make up date. Any unexcused absence during the term of this agreement will be considered a breach of contract and the parents will be held liable for full payment of the $600.00 Work Bond.
