About Our School

Sacred Heart School in South Plainfield, New Jersey is a Roman Catholic elementary school accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. It is established and supported by the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in South Plainfield, New Jersey within the Diocese of Metuchen. The school is open to registered Sacred Heart parishioners and to Catholics/non-Catholics from other parishes. It is a private school where the Gospel message and the experience of community, worship and social concerns are integrated in the lives of the students, parents and members of the faculty/staff. The school is funded by tuition, parish subsidy, fundraisers, Chapter II federal program and voluntary contributions. The school's population from South Plainfield and the surrounding areas is comprised of pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students from different religious, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
