Announcements
Announcements of delayed openings and school closings due to inclement weather will be made via the Honeywell Instant Alert System, The School's Website and The Daily Bulletin Section of Power School.
Please do not call the school, as no one will be there to answer the phone if there is a closing or delayed opening.
Delayed Opening
Announcements of delayed openings due to inclement weather will be made via the Honeywell Instant Alert System. Information will also be posted on the school’s website, and on the daily bulletin section of Power School.
If there is a delayed opening – i.e. 1 hour – children should report to their bus stops 1 hour later – not at a set time for everyone.
Emergency Closing
It is the policy of our school to follow South Plainfield Public School closings. If South Plainfield Public Schools are closed, then Sacred Heart School is also closed. Plainfield residents are advised of no buses if Plainfield Public Schools are closed. We also have the option to close if South Plainfield remains open. That will be an administrative decision.
Early Dismissal
We will utilize the Honeywell Instant Alert system to notify parents in the event of an Early Dismissal.
